I purchased this Vera Wang gown in September 2010 for almost $5000 at a Vera Wang trunk show in Seattle (see receipt), and the full retail price is actually $5800. It was manufactured in February 2012 for my July 2012 wedding. It is from the 2003 resort collection, between the fall and spring collections.

The material is an ivory silk faille, similar to a shantung in that the material is very sturdy and has a nice ribbed texture. The neckline is asymmetrical. The bodice is ruched. On the back of the dress, beneath the ruching, there is a beautiful silk bow (pre-tied) that opens up into a train that is between a sweeping/brush and a court length. The back hem is about 6" longer than the front and will trail behind you on the ground. The narrower, second piece on top that comes down from the bow is closer to a traditional court length (about 2' long).
